Young Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic produced his best game in a Fiorentina shirt as he helped stun champions Juventus at home in their league meeting earlier this week. Serbia national team player DusanVlahovic was one of the goalscorers as Fiorentina recorded a famous 3-0 win over Juventus in Turin to inflict a first league defeat on new manager Andrea Pirlo who took charge of the Italian Serie A holders in the summer. Juventus sacked former manager Maurizio Sarri and he was replaced by former player Andrea Pirlo.
Serbia national team striker Vlahovic stunned Juventus with the opening goal on three minutes before the big talking point of the game. Hosts Juventus were reduced to ten men after Colombian player Juan Cuadrado was penalised with a red card for dangerous play. Fiorentina didn’t capitalise on that red card to Cuadrado on 18 minutes until the last minutes of the week 14 league encounter.
Juventus left-back Alex Sandro scored an own goal on 76 minutes to double the visitors’ advantage before Uruguay international defender Martin Caceres put the game beyond the reach of the home side with a third goal five minutes later as struggling Fiorentina were able to record a morale boosting win over the champions. Serbia striker DusanVlahovic is 20 but his inexperience didn’t show at all as he ran the Juventus backline ragged during the game. He has now scored four goals plus one assist in 14 league games. In all competitions, the Serbia player has four goals in 15 games.
Fiorentinahave been struggling for form in the Italian Serie A this season and the big win over the Old Lady was able to move them four points clear of the relegation zone. It was only their third league win of the new season in the Italian top flight.
